Karoline Leavitt is leaving the White House press secretary podium, but she is not leaving President Donald Trump's political orbit.
The 28-year-old press secretary revealed Friday that she will return to MAGA Inc., the Trump-aligned super PAC she previously worked for, after stepping down from her administration role.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Leavitt confirmed that Friday's trip was her last official flight as White House press secretary.
While she did not reveal her exact title or responsibilities, a source familiar with her plans confirmed that she will join MAGA Inc. and pursue additional opportunities that have yet to be announced.
The move brings Leavitt back to a political operation she already knows well. She previously served as a spokesperson for MAGA Inc. before joining Trump's 2024 presidential campaign and eventually becoming the face of the White House press operation.
Despite leaving the administration, Leavitt made clear that Americans should expect to continue seeing her on the political stage.
"You guys will still see me all the time," she told reporters Friday.
Her continued involvement comes as Republicans prepare for the 2026 midterm elections, giving Leavitt a potential new platform to remain involved in Trump's broader political movement.
Trump announced earlier that Leavitt would leave her White House position at the end of the month so she could spend more time with her family.
Leavitt later confirmed the decision in a lengthy post on X, describing her departure as a "bittersweet decision."
She said the demands of serving as press secretary had made it difficult to balance the job with being the mother she wants to be to her two young children.
"Serving as the White House Press Secretary over the past year and a half has been the honor and adventure of a lifetime," Leavitt wrote.
Leavitt made history when she became the youngest White House press secretary ever after Trump returned to office in January 2025.
During her tenure, she became one of the administration's most recognizable public faces, frequently defending Trump's policies during heated White House briefings and appearing regularly across conservative media.
Her decision to leave the podium does not appear to signal an exit from national politics.
Instead, her return to MAGA Inc. could position her for an even more prominent role in Trump's political operation as Republicans look toward the midterms and beyond.
For now, Leavitt is trading the White House briefing room for a new role outside the administration, while keeping herself firmly within Trump's political movement.
